Peter Emilio Zambito, MD, FACC

Medical Director

As a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, Dr. Zambito is no stranger to the life saving and life-extending nature of cardiac care. He writes about one of his early life experiences that drew him to these medical specialties on his biography page.
As the Medical Director of the Center that bears his name, Dr. Zambito sets a demanding vision and oversees all aspects of medical care. “I decided early on that the Center would strive to be a gold standard of family-oriented cardiac care. We provide hospital-quality services in a local facility that caters to the communities we serve. We are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish and look forward to continuing to build on this success”.

Karen Restrepo

Director of Operations

Karen oversees the day-to-day operation of Zambito Heart Center. Involved in all aspects of management from training to facility maintenance, Karen makes wearing six hats at once look easy.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner

Stachia brings a wealth of experience from her extensive education and work history in numerous medical disciplines.

Andrew Clark

Technical Director, Nuclear Medicine

Andrew is our resident Nuclear Medicine Technician and the Technical Director of all Nuclear testing at the Center. 

Richard Portillo

Technical Director, Ultrasound

Richard is our resident Sonographer and the Technical Director of all Ultrasound testing at the Center.

Esmilce Garcia

Procedure Coordinator Specialist

You may never meet Esmilce as she mostly works in our back office, but she is often an essential part of your visit to the Center. Emmie, coordinates the details related to all hospital in-patient and ambulatory procedures.
